Have you ever been to a restaurant that has, what seems, no less than 500 items to choose from? An indecisive person’s worst nightmare, right? Well, that’s a bit of what it’s like shopping for protein powder. It would be nearly impossible to tell you which is best, but we can tell you about our experience trying the DMoose Whey Protein powder.

DMoose is a fitness brand that sells a wide variety of gym-related equipment for those looking to get healthier and stronger. In recent years they’ve risen in popularity and continue to expand their impressive product line. Part of that expansion has been into the supplement space, including offering whey protein.

DMoose Whey Protein Profile
Shopping for protein is interesting because if you look at the nutrition label, they all vary so much. Of course, we prefer to keep it as clean as possible and avoid any extra fillers, thickeners, or added sugars if possible.
Looking at the DMoose ingredients label, it looks like they’ve kept it pretty simple. Let’s take a closer look:

Protein Blend
Each serving is made up of 25 grams of a protein blend, composed of whey concentrate and isolate. According to most, those are two of the best forms of whey.
Also of note, 5.1 grams of BCAAs are in each serving.
Natural & Artificial Flavors
It’s great to see that there this protein is Non-GMO and gluten-free, but one nefarious addition is “Natural & Artificial Flavors”. Since supplements aren’t regulated by the FDA, that could mean pretty much anything.
Sucralose
Sucralose a.k.a. Splenda, is an artificial sweetener that is supposed to be a healthier alternative to aspartame. While we’re always wary of anything artificial, the jury is still out on this one.
Digestive Enzyme Blend
To help ease any gastrointestinal distress or emergency runs to the bathroom, Protease and Papain have been added. These enzymes are designed to help digestion and absorption of protein in the gut.
Counting Your Macros?
If you’re trying to dial in your macros on a daily, DMoose Whey Protein offers 25 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat, and 3 grams of carbs per serving. Perfect for those trying to up their protein intake without maxing out their fats and carbs for the day.

Taste and Mixibilty
There are a lot of ways to describe a protein shake, but for the DMoose brand, chalky and gritty isn’t one of them. In fact, we found the Vanilla flavor to be quite smooth, creamy, and on par with much more expensive brands. We find the flavor to be sweet but not overly so. And although there’s a slight aftertaste, it doesn’t linger long.
Unfortunately for our testing, we only tried the Vanilla flavor. We can’t tell you how good the chocolate is, but other reviews seem pretty positive.
The Spoon Test

There’s nothing more frustrating than a protein powder that won’t blend and leaves you with clumps. The good news, DMoose protein actually blends really well.
To test its solubility, we added one scoop of powder to 8 ounces of water in a Blender Bottle. Using only a spoon, the protein completely dissolved in 3-5 strokes. That’s pretty incredible.
Customer Experience
DMoose Whey Protein can be purchased on their website or Amazon. Based on the many 5-star reviews, there’s proof that we’re not alone in saying that it’s a great protein powder.

Final Verdict
As far as protein powders go, the DMoose Whey Protein checks a lot of the right boxes. It provides just the right amount of nutrition to meet your goals, it tastes great and comes in at a good price too. In our book, this is a protein powder worth checking out.
